Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Cincinnati and NKY Public Libraries

The luck of the Irish is among us this week as St. Patrick’s Day approaches. If you are looking for something to do with the kids to celebrate this holiday, look no further than the libraries across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Check out our guide below and celebrate the day of luck and St. Patrick:

March 14:

Symmes Township Branch: Irish Dance and Music, from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the McGing Irish Dancers!

Monfort Heights Branch: McGing Irish Dancers, from 6:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the McGing Irish Dancers!

March 15:

Newport Branch: Play Art! Rainbow Craft, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early with a colorful rainbow craft out of cereal and cotton balls! Open to ages 3-5 and gluten free cereal will be provided to those that have a gluten intolerance.

Boone County Public Library Main Branch: Leprechaun Traps, at 6:30 p.m. Build a leprechaun trap for St. Patrick’s Day and enjoy stories and rhymes. This event is open to children ages 3-6 and registration is required.

March 16:

William E. Durr Branch: PlayArt- Leprechaun Binoculars, from 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Kids ages 2-6 can look for Leprechauns with rainbow binoculars.

Erlanger Branch: Saint Paddy’s Day Party, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A bit o’ the Luck of the Irish be with you! Join us for St. Patrick’s Day stories, games, and crafts!

Cold Spring Branch: Hunt for Lucky the Leprechaun, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Lucky the Leprechaun hid his pot of gold at the Cold Spring Branch. Come and help us follow clues to find the treasure hidden at the bottom of the rainbow.

March 17:

Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County Main Branch: 35th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration of Song and Dance, from 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Join us for the 35th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration of Song and Dance, sponsored by the Friends of the Public Library.  Featuring music by Dark Moll and a performance by the McGing Irish Dancers, this tribute to Irish heritage is family-friendly and fun!

William E. Durr Branch: PlayArt- Leprechaun Binoculars, from 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and from 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Kids ages 2-6 can look for Leprechauns with rainbow binoculars.

Covington Branch: St. Patrick’s Day Party, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Stop by and make a St. Patrick’s Day craft and enjoy some Irish themed snacks. Don’t forget to wear green!

Erlanger Branch: Family Fun Friday- St. Patrick’s Day Celebration: Celtic Knots and Beauty and the Beast, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Join us as we learn about the history of St. Patrick’s Day and make Celtic knot wrist bands. Meanwhile, we will be showing the animated movie Beauty & the Beast (1991) in preparation for the new movie released that weekend.
