Adventures Around Cincinnati Second Edition (Giveaway)

April 21, 2014 By FFCStaff

Last year I was lucky to win a copy of the book Adventures Around Cincinnati from the Kenton County Public Adventures-Around-Cincinnati-title1Library and my kids and I had such fun planning day trips and fun adventures from those found in it’s pages.  This year when I was offered the chance to check out the 2nd Edition of Adventures Around Cincinnati I absolutely jumped at it!   Laura Hoevener and Terri Weeks have put together another wonderful book full of local adventures…and just in time for Summer vacation!

The AdvAdventures Around cincinnatientures Around Cincinnati 2nd Edition contains over 120 adventures to go on with your family, all within a 2 hour drive of Cincinnati.  The listings contain details that are essential to know ahead of time, such as whether it’s a stroller friendly venue, how long you should plan to stay, appropriate ages, etc.  One of the best parts, in my opinion, is that many of the adventures listed are very budget friendly or completely FREE!

Within a few moments of paging through it I had already found at least a dozen places I had never heard of, or knew about but never thought to add to our Summer Adventure list…for instance Megaland at Colerain Park, Carriage Hill Metropark, Young’s Jersey Dairy, and many more.  There’s advice on how to start new Summer Adventure traditions with your family, and how to plan the best adventure you’ve ever taken.  Pretty much everything you need to do to have the best close-to-home Summer ever is right there in the book…waiting for you to open it up and start the fun!

Want a copy of Adventures Around Cincinnati 2nd Edition of your very own?  Read on to find out how you can win!

We’re taking our first road trip (including camping!) this summer – we’ll see if that becomes our new favorite Summer Adventure! Up until now, it would probably be trips up to Young’s Jersey Dairy – YUM!

At least once a year we make it a point to get to Yellow Springs, camp out overnight, enjoy the town and the walking and biking trails. It can seem like a lot of work to load up everything we might imaginably need with young kids along, but it’s always worth it in the end!
