This Holiday Season, Give the Gift of The Arts

December 6, 2011 By Shannanb

Giveaway closed. Thank you to everyone who entered. Congratulations to FFC reader, Julia P!

Those of you who have been reading Family Friendly Cincinnati for a while know how passionate we are about the arts and supporting them in our communities. It’s a topic you’ll find us writing about on a pretty regular basis.  As such, we are thrilled to welcome Samantha Robinson, Program Coordinator with Enjoy the Arts to Family Friendly Cincinnati today. Enjoy the Arts focuses on connecting patrons to the arts and Samantha shares details about the organization as well as information on their student level memberships (which would make a great gift this year!).

————————————–

Every child can benefit from exposure to the arts. Theatre and dance performances, music concerts, and museum visits introduce children to new ideas, and create lasting memories shared by parents and children. But taking advantage of these valuable experiences isn’t always easy. With so much going on in our busy lives, it can be difficult to find out what’s going on, what’s appropriate for your child, and then there are ticket prices which can sometimes be difficult for the budget-conscious parent. Enter Enjoy the Arts.

Enjoy the Arts is a membership organization that has connected audiences to the arts in Greater Cincinnati for more than 30 years. An Enjoy the Arts ORANGE – STUDENT membership, designed for students from pre-K through Ph.D., is the perfect option for parents interested in enriching, budget-friendly family outings. For an affordable membership fee of $35, parents can register a child for a full year of benefits, including free tickets and deep discounts for more than 30 arts and culture organizations in Cincinnati. The best part? Mom or Dad gets the same amazing deals and shares unforgettable experiences with their child! All ticket offers and benefits are good for the student Member and a guest.

Here are just a few of the incredible deals offered through membership:

    • Two free All Museums Passes to Cincinnati Museum Center.
    • Two free tickets to the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati.
    • Two free admissions to other Cincinnati museums, including: Cincinnati Art Museum, Taft Museum of Art, and Contemporary Arts Center.
    • Two free tickets to Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
    • Two free tickets to Cincinnati Ballet.

And the benefits don’t stop there! Enjoy the Arts ORANGE – STUDENT members enjoy additional discounts and specials, including ½ off tickets to performing arts organizations, discounts on museum admissions, 20% off admission to Cincinnati Zoo and Newport Aquarium, priority access to Broadway Across America tickets, and more!

Enjoy the Arts is the best deal in Cincinnati and it’s the perfect stocking stuffer this holiday season! Purchase an Enjoy the Arts membership for your little one and enjoy theater, dance, music, and visual arts all year long!

Do you have multiple stockings to fill? Purchase Enjoy the Arts memberships for each child and share arts experiences as a family! A family of four can attend arts and culture events together with two ORANGE – STUDENT memberships.

To purchase a gift membership for your little one, visit enjoythearts.org or call 513.455.7140.

I don’t know if this counts, but my favorite arts organization is the UC Clermont Calico theater. I live on the East side town and it is often difficult to make it to many events downtown. Also, it is extremely affordable. The entertainment is also quality. Calico theater makes it possible for my husband and I to expose our daughter to the arts.
