Frisch’s presents Cincinnati Ballet’s The Nutcracker – GIVEAWAY

November 30, 2015 By FFCStaff

It’s the holiday season yet again, and along with the trimming of the tree, cookie baking, and gift buying, Nutcracker dancersthere’s another yearly holiday tradition that’s become a beloved part of the season for many Cincinnati area families – The Nutcracker performed by the Cincinnati Ballet and presented by Frisch’s!

Frisch’s Presents The Nutcracker, now in its 42nd annual production, returns December 18 through 27 at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra performing Tchaikovsky’s sensational score, conducted by Maestro Carmon DeLeone. I have been lucky enough to have been in the audience for this amazing production several times now and I can honestly say that it gets better every time I see it!

If you’ve never been, here’s a little about the production from the Cincinnati Ballet:

The Nutcracker is the beloved holiday story of Clara, a little girl who embarks on a fantastical wind up dolljourney with her Nutcracker Prince through the Land of Sweets, meeting colorful and exciting characters along the way. The holiday favorite  saw a re-envisioning in a 2011 world premiere, with new sets by John Ezell, costumes by Carrie Robbins, lighting by Trad A Burns and choreography by Artistic Director & CEO Victoria Morgan.

Frisch’s and Cincinnati Ballet have a long history of collaborating to present the spectacular production, dating back to the first Frisch’s Presents The Nutcracker in 1974. Frisch’s Restaurants Inc. championed that production through a generous donation and has sponsored the production every subsequent year.

This production is engaging to all audiences — small and tall alike. The fact that young audience members get to witness young dancers, their peers, take the stage for such a gorgeously staged and costumed production is inspiring, and grownups will be blown away by the talent and richness of the production itself.

The truth is, I really can’t say enough wonderful things about this amazing production and I hope you agree that it is a Cincinnati treasure. In an effort to bring this fantastic experience to yet another family, we’ve teamed up Cincinnati Ballet to bring you a chance to see The Nutcracker for free!
