Kids Night Out at YMCA Camp Kern

January 7, 2014 By FFCStaff

We’ve had lots of family together time recently.  The holidays were in full swing and we enjoyed a long two week winter break.  I love being with my kids but let’s face it,  sometimes they need a break from us and we need a break from them.  That’s where YMCA Camp Kern can help out.  They have these amazing kids night out overnights where you can drop off your kiddos on a Friday night at 6:30 p.m. and then you pick them up on Saturday morning  at 10:30 a.m.  GENIUS! You will have an entire night to yourself and you will rest easy knowing your kids will be having more fun then you.  My kids experienced their first overnight this past fall, and they wanted me to sign them up for every subsequent overnight.

The responsible camp counselors are amazing and they structure the night to make it fun, fun, fun.  Activities can include rock climbing, hiking, hayrides, campfires, making s’mores, games, movies, camp songs and more. It’s open for kids ages 7-15 years.  Plus the price is right.  It’s only $40 for your first child and $25 for  any additional siblings.  This also includes a snack on Friday night (feed them dinner before they go) and breakfast in the morning.  If you coordinate this with a friend, you can put a request for the kids to be in the same cabin.  A camp counselor will also be bunking in the cabin so they will be supervised and the cabins are grouped by gender.

They have a camp packing list that is really helpful on their website so you’ll know what to bring.  For us, a waterbottle and an extra set of clothes were helpful.  In addition to their sleeping bags, I like to bring a fitted sheet to cover the bunk mattress. Visit YMCA Camp Kern for more information or contact Matthew Crawforth at (513) 932-3756 ext. 1530 with any questions.

Your dog bite attorney should also present a written fee agreement.
Soft tissue injuries from car, truck, and bus accidents an even slip and falls are very much
the same and you may not feel any pain for several hours or until the
next day. Their fee is earned through the percentage of
what they collect for you from the insurance company.
