Red Lobster *$25 Gift Card Giveaway*

April 22, 2013 By FFCStaff

Red Lobster Slideshow

I love Red Lobster.  They had me at cheesy biscuits and kept me coming back with the succulent shrimp scampi.  Years ago, when my husband and I were dating, we’d go to Red Lobster and start with those delicious biscuits, add a lovely salad with blue cheese and tangy red onions and top it off with pasta and scampi.  I loved that shrimp scampi.  So, when Red Lobster asked if we’d like to try some of their new menu items, complete with lots of stuff for land lovers, we could not resist!

Red Lobster TacosSome of the menu changes they’ve made include adding tastey items for those who are not in love with seafood.  I have a friend who will not go to Red Lobster, so her Lobsterfest-loving husband has to go it alone with their boys.  They will be a family divided no more!  The restaurant has added Southwest Chicken Pizza (and I can tell you first hand, it is wonderful), Wood-Grilled Porkchops and Spicy Buffalo Chicken Bites, just to name a few.

Another change is that there are 15 entrees under $15 everyday.  This is a fantastic price.  The portions are good-sized and delicious.

We were able to try a variety of appetizers, and for our entree, decided on the Rock Island Stuffed Tilapia and Wood-Grilled Lobster & Lobster Red Lobster CakeTacos.  Both were delicious.  The waitress told us she waited all year for the tilapia because this speciality is only offered at certain times of the year.  For dessert we chose Chocolate Wave, a rich chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream, and the Warm Chocolate Chip Lava Cookie.  I loved both.

Would you like to try these wonderful dishes?  You have a chance now because we have a giveaway!  Red Lobster has generously given Family Friendly Cincinnati a $25 gift card to give away to one lucky FFC reader.

Here’s how you can enter:

Leave a comment in this post telling us what menu item you would love to try.  Make sure you leave your email address.

A winner will be chosen Monday April 29th at 10:00pm.  The winner will be contacted via email and announced on this page.  If the winner does not respond within 24 hours, another winner will be chosen.  You must be 18 or older to enter and live in the surrounding area.

Good luck!

When not blogging for Family Friendly Cincinnati, you can find Michelle writing at her personal blog, I’m Living the Good Life.

Disclaimer:  Red Lobster was nice enough to give me and a guest a complementary dinner in exchange for writing this giveaway.  They also provided the giveaway prize. All opinions in this post are my own.

My husband and I fall into exactly what you described on this menu — he LOVES Red Lobster, but I’m allergic to seafood and so never can get too excited about going there. In the past it seemed like I as a non-seafood-eater, I had the choice of only grilled chicken or steak, both of which I make so often at home that I’m usually looking for something different in a restaurant. So I am thrilled to hear about the new menu items, and I know my hubby will be even more so!

I am a sucker for a good Southwest Chicken Pizza, so I think I’d start there. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
