Great Outdoor Weekend – Sept. 25-26

I love this time of year. Temperatures are supposed to be cooling down and the beautiful colors of fall are starting to surface.  It’s a great time to spend some quality time outdoors with the family.  This weekend the Cincinnati Great Outdoor Weekend takes place Sept. 25-26 so there will be no excuses for staying indoors.  This weekend is the perfect time to sample some of our local parks, and nature centers while participating in a smorgasbord of fun and free activities for all ages.  Green Umbrella has put this all together in coordination with so many of our local favorites (see listing below).



Since every region in Greater Cincinnati is participating, you would not believe the amount of things you have to choose from.  Even though I can’t list all the events, I can mention some of the regional participants and their locations with information I gathered from their program brochure:

Central Region (downtown, Clifton, Avondale, Mt. Lookout, Oakley, North Avondale, Walnut Hills):

  • Hughes High School
  • Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden – Harold C. Schott Education Center
