On the Same Page Cincinnati Kicks off Monday

January 31, 2010 By Shannanb

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County launches On the Same Page Cincinnati, the library’s annual community-wide reading program tomorrow. This year they’ve selected the book – The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins – for adults and teens to read together. The program runs February 1 – March 31.

The Hunger Games is the first in a trilogy set in the postapocalyptic nation of Panem, a glittering Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying subjugated districts located in the ruins of a place once known as North America. The Capitol keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. The sole survivor gets food for life.

Visit www.CincinnatiLibrary.org/samepage for information – and videos – about how you and can get involved in On the Same Page!
