blue manatee Invites Children to Help Them “Find Waldo”

July 3, 2014 By FFCStaff

blue manatee children’s bookstore and decafe is excited to announce the return of “Find Waldo Local”, a month-long scavenger hunt to find Waldo in twenty-five participating local businesses celebrating the iconic Where’s Waldo children’s book.

Here’s a little about this great family-fun event:

Running throughout the month of July, interested participants can visit blue manatee to pick up a “Find Waldo Local” passport with the names of all the participating sites. Children and families then visit participatingwaldo blue manatee businesses, and once they find Waldo, can have their passport stamped.  After a certain number of stamps, participants can qualify to win a variety of prizes. Children with 20 or more stamps will be entered in a raffle for larger prizes like books, gift certificates, and other kid-friendly products from participating businesses.

Merchants participating in “Find Waldo Local” include Sewn Studios, Confetti Cats, Brazee Street Studios, Sleepy Bee Café, The Spotted Goose, Aglamesis Brothers, King Arthur’s Court Toys, The BonBonerie, Patty’s Old Fashioned Popcorn, Flaggs USA, Gift Box, Boardwalk Hobby Shop, Buona Terra Gelato, Dojo Gelato, streetpops, MiCA 12/v, The Cincinnati Zoo, Tantrum, Market Side Mercantile, Castle House, Melt Eclectic Cafe, Pet Wants, Carl’s Deli and Holtman’s Donuts.

To conclude the scavenger hunt fun, blue manatee will host a grand celebration on Thursday, July 31st from 4-5pm, during which raffle winners will be announced. The party will include sweet treats from blue manatee’s decafé, The BonBonerie, and more!
