The Splattered Platter

October 24, 2012 By FFCStaff

Do you and your family enjoy painting and creating together?  Well, if you live near the Middletown area there is a new place for you to  do just that.  It’s called The Splattered Platter.  I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this place!

The Splattered Platter is located in downtown Middletown at 1044 Central Avenue.  It’s a paint your own pottery establishment that my girls and I have already visited twice.

The Splattered Platter is open Wednesday through Saturday from 12 P.M. to 9 P.M. and on Sunday from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M.  Studio fees are $8 for adults and $6 for kids plus the cost of your piece.  If pottery isn’t your thing, they also do mosaics, canvas painting, wine glass painting and more.  They hold an event each Friday called Pottery and Pizza.  This event is held from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M.  The Splattered Platter provides the pizza, you provide your own beverages.  Space is limited to 25, so call ahead and reserve your place!  I am looking forward to taking my 5 year old to Children’s Story Time.  The staff will read a book to the children and then they create a piece of pottery that goes with the theme of the book.

Birthday parties are another way to have some fun!  The prices are very reasonable.  We attended a birthday party at The Splattered Platter and had a blast!  They are very kid friendly and make sure the kids get the opportunity to express their creativity.  As a parent, I know I appreciated the non-rushed atmosphere.  Which is why we went ahead and booked A’s 8th birthday party.

If The Splattered Platter sounds like a fun time to you, check them out at their website.  You can also find them on Facebook.
