Bring in the Clowns! A Circus Mojo Giveaway! [CLOSED]

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED — CONGRATS TO THE FOLLOWING FUTURE CIRCUS PERFORMERS!

Kellie said:   “The classes would be a great way to add flexibility and fun to our exercise plan.”

Katherine said:  “Our daughter is almost 4. She loves the circus. This year she isn’t going to preschool as we are transition, after 20 years in the Navy my husband will officially be retired on October 1 and has yet to find a post Navy job so we are staying with family in Cincinnati. She has few friends here so we have tried to expose her to as many activities as the budget will allow but the budget is about to get a whole lot tighter (hence the reason for no preschool). I think she would LOVE the classes at Circus Mojo and give her a way to make more friends. She misses all her friends in DC and as an only child she thrives on her friendships as well as her desire to be creative and perform. I am not sure what her true love will be but right now she wants to be violin playing ballerina! Very interesting!”

And a BIG SHOUT OUT to Paul Miller at Circus Mojo!  Thank you so much for sharing these classes with us for the giveaway!

This past weekend the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra & Circus Mojo teamed up to bring us Cirque Devou at the Devou Park Bandshell.  All of the children in attendance were mesmerized by the circus routines.  My niece & nephew were even up and dancing during parts of the show.  And children weren’t the only ones captivated…every adult I spoke to agrees it was a magical experience.

Even though the Cirque Devou showcased juggling, acts involving torches of fire, tight-rope walking, clowns, trapeze artists, spinning, acrobats, and much more, this is not your typical circus.  This circus was a combination of professional performers and young students of Circus Mojo.  I think that one of the most fantastic thing about this show were the child performers.  It was inspiring for my children to see other kids performing amazing acts usually done by adults.    My friend Amy said that her children “loved seeing other children perform more than the professionals”!  And ever since the show she has been trying to keep her five year old from balancing on balls around the house.

My family really enjoyed all of the acts involving the trapeze, as did our friends the Lord family.  Duo Rose’s trapeze act was beautiful, romantic, and a wonder to watch.  Heather Lord said that her son Jack also loved the jugglers with the glow in the dark balls, she said she might just have to sign him up for classes so that he can learn to juggle in the dark!   My son Sam’s favorite routine at the show was the fire-eating by Amy Chen & the juggling of the fire – he is fascinated with fire.  Perhaps circus performing is in his future as well?

If your family did not make it to this performance, you really missed an amazing show, but not to worry, Circus Mojo owner Paul Miller is hoping to have more of these performances next summer in the newly renovated Devou Bandshell.  I for one, cannot wait.  And neither can my nephew, who asked if he can go again next weekend.

And for those of you whose children simply cannot wait until next summer, or have an itch to run away with the circus, we have just the giveaway for you!
